Three Dimensions anybody?

School has now started, and everything is going fine. So far my classes have been good, and hopefully they will only get better. I'm finally in a 3D class, so I finally have an excuse to spend tons of time learning 3D Studio Max. This will probably eventually (if not really soon) lead to a 3D media section. I've taken quite the liking to the 3rd dimension, so hopefully I'll be able to produce some cool things with it. Here are some samples of things I've been working on so far.

You can see larger versions of these (and more!) at the new "public" directory listing, which can be found here: http://www.dujodu.com/pub/. You can find some other goodies here as well, and I'll add more in the future like: Works in progress, things that aren't cool enough to add to the media section, misc files, flash sources, etc.

I have a new section in the works also, but I can't decide if I want to work it into the main site design or just list it under projects. I'm leaning toward listing it as a project, but I'll see what some other people think first. Keep your eyes open for some new Fireworks links soon as well, since it is one of my favorite digital toys at the moment.

For those who care, Mozilla Sunbird has just been released. The first public release is version 0.2. I haven't installed it yet, so I can't say if I like it not, but it's worth checking out anyway.

Bye Bye Break

With just under a week left of break, I kind of doubt anything cool is going to happen here. I'm going to throw up some new photos (which are actually from last semester) but other than that, I doubt there will be any other updates. I've been very busy doing absolutely nothing this break. I started playing Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, and that was a huge mistake. The game is great, but it also prevents me from doing more productive things like working on the page or a flash game or something of the sort. Hopefully once school gets going I'll get out of my binge on nothingness and start working on some stuff.

I didn't leave the house all that much for the past few weeks, but I did go to Madison with Bowen to visit my pal Weston. We played waaaaaaay too many video games, one of which ate away at my sanity, Katamari Damacy. Luckily we beat it, so hopefully I'll never have to play it again.

A new semester is going to be starting soon, which means new classes. I'm going to be learning some C#, some Lingo, and some 3D modeling. I think it's going to be a decent semester.

Merry Christmas Break!

My break has been good so far, but with a few hitches. The first day of break I had to go pick up a gigantic 3-foot Rudolf stuffed animal (pictures soon). It was kind of shocking since I had no idea that something so bizarre was even in the cards. Apparently my mom entered my name in some mayfair mall contest and I won. Lucky me. I had to go pick it up, and it was pretty awkward/embarrassing. Apparently my mom knows two other people who also won, and they took their pictures with the reindeer. Hmm, I wonder why they didn't take mine? They must have just forgot... yes, forgot.

After the reindeer incident I came home to find that my precious internet was not working. Unplugging my modem and plugging it back in would give me a few minutes of internet joy, but that got annoying very fast. I just put up with it for a few days hoping that it would just start working for no reason, but I had no such luck. I ended up calling a few times and finally found out that I needed a new a modem. Off to the road runner store. Actually it was much more painless than I thought it would be, they just took my modem and gave me a new one... it even has an extra button.

With all the problems behind me now, I plan on having a semi-productive winter break. I've got a few things in the work right now that might just be finished in time to go back to school. Speaking of school, I got much better grades than I thought I would this semester. I managed to pull off all A's and a B+. Not bad considering I did three projects in one day and got about 6 hours of sleep the entire last week.

I'm working on some updates to the commenting system so that Eric can use his precious < & > signs. It will mean stupid bracket tags (.. etc) but that's the way comments usually are, so get used to it.

Have a great Christmas, or whatever it is you might be celebrating.
