AN UPDATE!

Well, this site has obviously outlived its usefulness. I'm currently in the very early stages of what will surely be a disappointing redesign / rethinking of dujodu.com. My main goal is to make it a portal into my online escapades, from twittering, to bookmarking, to what movies I'm watching and what music I'm listening to. It probably won't be very interesting if you don't really care about what I'm up to, but if you want to know what I'm doing every day, it will be a pretty good indication. There is no planned date for any of this to happen. You won't be able to comment because this site has been inundated with spam, but know that the site will eventually be reborn! I'm not sure what to do with the blog.

Portfolio

My new portfolio website is up and running, or it should be anyway. It is located at http://www.dustindupre.com/ and if that doesn't work try http://www.dujodu.com/portfolio/. I've been updating it over the last few days to optimize it, I think it's running a lot a better now.

Also, don't forget to check out my blog (which I typically update AT LEAST a couple times per month) at

Welcome Macromedia.com!

Welcome Macromedia.com! Thanks for visiting my page, I hope you enjoyed the article! If you want to grab the rest of the "Copy To Clipboard" commands, you can get a zip file here which contains the .mxp and the .jsf files. This has a couple more commands, the most useful being "Copy Color From Picker" which will bring up a color picker and copy the selected color to the clipboard. I didn't use it as an example because it is too short, but it's definitely the most useful command in the pack! If you bind it to a key, it's great for converting fireworks files to XHTML / CSS since you can quickly grab color values.

As I create some more commands (and hopefully some flash panels!) I'll offer them here. If anyone has any article / tutorial requests involving either fireworks or flash, post a comment and maybe eventually I'll write them!

You should sign this petition to get a Fireworks category on the Macromedia XML News Aggregator. Help get the word out about this great program! Senocular of Senocular.com started the petition, so be sure to check out his website for macromedia & Fireworks news and extensions.

Take a trip over to www.fireworksguru.com/ and take a look at Alan Musselmans great Slideshow Album extension for Fireworks. It enables you to create picture albums in fireworks and export them along with an .xml file that can be loaded into flash (there are a couple templates included!). It's really pretty neat, so go check it out now! Don't forget to visit the forum!
